Delegates to the U3A Network Conference in Rockhampton are in for a dining treat, with culinary delights planned for the 50th Anniversary Dinner on Tuesday May 9 and the Network Queensland Dinner on Wednesday May 10 at the Rockhampton Leagues Club. The Club takes pride in the importance of service and a functions team committed to making Club the perfect venue for these important U3A celebrations.
As Rockhampton is known as the Beef Capital of the World and the nearby Fitzroy River home to the famous Barra Bash, the chefs at the Leagues Club are planning a menu of the finest cuisine, with alternate servings of beef and barramundi, to showcase the world class local produce.
The menu for 50th Anniversary Dinner will be:
Entree
Thai Beef Salad, roasted rump cap, capsicum, peanuts, onion, mixed leaves with Thai dressing
Smoked Chicken on roasted potato, cherry tomato green salad and feta dressing
Main
Sirloin 250g charred sirloin cooked medium, pommes puree, charred asparagus, port mushroom reduction
Grilled Barramundi, sweet potato ginger puree, broccolini andThai lime coconut sauce
Dessert
Celebration Cake, cut and served as dessert, created and made by Rockhampton Councillor Drew Wickerson.
Dinner guests will also receive a one complimentary beverage (Beer/Wine/Postmix)
For the second function on Wednesday evening May 10, the U3A Network Queensland Dinner, guests can look forward to continuing the fine dining experience with a delicious selection of Central Queensland’s great produce.

Roast Pork & Apple Sauce
Both roasts to be served with roasted potato, roasted honey pumpkin, roasted sweet potato and green beans.

The U3A Rockhampton have gone all out to make these dinners a fantastic dining experience while keeping the costs to delegate as low as possible. These are events not to be missed in your Conference schedule.
