The U3A Network Queensland State Conference 2023 to be hosted by  U3A Rockhampton and District from 8 to 11 May 2023 in Rockhampton Queensland will mark the 50th Anniversary of the U3A movement worldwide, and will attract international guest speakers including Professor Francois Vellas, President of AIUTA (Association of International Universities of the Third Age) and Professor Maria Chester Secretary General of AIUTA.

Theme for the Conference is ‘U3A Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow’.

This State Conference comprises two days of the Celebration of 50 years of U3A worldwide followed by the U3A Network Queensland Annual General Meeting on Thursday 11 May 2023. Additional optional activities include a ‘Meet and Greet’ function, a 50th Anniversary Celebration Dinner and an official State Conference Dinner.

Earlybird offer: To go in the draw for the winner to receive their fees for the conference component refunded.

Conference Fees: Will be forwarded as soon as final costs have been established.

Final date for refunds: 21st April 2023

Optional Excursions:

  • Optional excursions will be posted to the web site closer to the date of the conference. Bookings and payments for these will be via a third-party organisation and not through our registration process.

Attendee limits:

  • No limits on delegates to the Conference
  • Attendees to the Meet and Greet function will be limited to 250.

Program and Speaker details:

Conference parking and/or transport arrangements:

  • Courtesy busses will be provided free of charge to delegates travelling between a central location in the city and the University each day.
  • Maps will be provided showing the location of the conference activities and include parking.
  • For delegates arriving by plane, train or bus contact details will be provided to a transport orgainsation (the one providing the courtesy buses) where they can prearrange for pick up and delivery to and from their accommodation at their expense.
