U3A in Australia and Worldwide

U3A organisations offer member services across Australia and worldwide. There are Network organisations in four States along with other organisations that support the U3A movement, and there’s a growing presence internationally.

Below are links to Network websites interstate and a brief outline of other complementary U3A organisations.

Note that Australian Capital Territory and Northern Territory are part of U3A Network New South Wales. Tasmania does not have a network but has individual U3As throughout the State. A list of these can be found on website U3A ONLINE – Tasmania.

Other U3A Organisations

U3A Alliance Australia is the national face of the U3A movement in Australia, bringing together the State and Territory networks of U3A groups throughout the country. The U3A Alliance Australia was formed in 2010 to foster co-operation and exchange of information between the Networks, and to advocate for the U3A movement at a national level where deemed appropriate and necessary.

The International Association of Universities of the Third Age brings together U3As from all the continents. For four decades IAUTA has been supporting elderly people through life-long education by means of university exchanges and, above all, innovations in education and scientific research, for everyone to find their place in society.

U3A Online is not a local U3A Association, it delivers online learning via the Internet offering a range of pay-per-view courses
